NASBA’s Forum for CPA Exam Candidates

March 25, 2021

Interact Directly With The People Who Control The Exam Process

Back in the spring of 2018, NASBA created a Facebook forum where CPA exam candidates can “connect, share advice, tips and tricks, ask questions and have fun while they prepare to become CPAs.” Unlike many other CPA exam forums, which are hosted by third parties, NASBA’s forum is created and overseen by those who are directly involved in the CPA exam process.

The forum allows candidates to connect with peers and to ask questions of NASBA representatives directly. One benefit this forum provides is to make information available to people who otherwise may not be able to find it in a timely manner. For example, NASBA states that “many candidates report that they live in remote areas that do not afford them study groups or collaborative opportunities.”

The NASBA Communications team monitors the forum and requires a registration process to approve candidates to join the group. While awaiting approval, you must answer the questions below:

  1. Are you a CPA Exam candidate?
  2. What is your state board (or which one are you considering applying to)?
  3. Why do you want to join this group?

Make The Most Of This High-Value, Community-Driven Prep Tool

After you are approved to join the group, you can find links to useful information under the “Announcements” tab plus many current test-taking and study tips offered by other CPA exam candidates under the “Discussion” tab. You can also enjoy a video chat, search for conversations on specific topics, and set up or join events.

With approximately 11,000 members (and more joining each day), you can always find someone with a story of encouragement, people who can understand the challenges you’re facing, and other exam candidates who will appreciate what you have to share. Check it out!
